The 2013 Merit Badge University will be held on Saturday, March 2th, 2013 and is open to all Scouts.  This year, the University will offer a new list of available merit badges as well as scout skills and an new parent class for those parents that just crossed over to scouts.  Additionally, this year it will be online registration in which you will select your merit badge class(es) you desire to attend.  Also, there will be instructor notes for the students, eg., prerequisites.

The Merit Badge University cost is $15.00 (early registration prior to Feb 1, 2013, after which it is $20) which includes lunch, classroom materials, and an MBU patch.  Each class will be limited to 10-15 Scouts on a first-come, first-serve basis so it is important to register ONLINE  on Doubleknot as early as possible so you can guarantee your class.  Pre-registration is required beginning Saturday,  December 1, 2012 and must be received at the Scout office no later than Friday, February 22, 2012.    

The primary event will be held at Riverside Middle School, 1095 Fury’s Ferry Road, Evans, Georgia, however, some merit badges, as noted, may be offered at other remote sites.  Further instructions will be sent out to each registrant by e-mail prior to the event. 

NOTE:  For classes that end up with less than 5 scouts registered by 2/1/2013 may require the university to cancel the class.  Those that are impacted will be given another opportunity to a another class (even if full).

Class A Uniforms are required for the event.

If you are registering more than one youth, email addresses and phone numbers are required for every youth so the counselors can contact them.

Cancellation Policy: Per council's instructions at the discretion of the MBU Chancelor.
